This website is the sole authorized website for current students of Tao-Zen Ryu Shindo. Access to restricted areas is granted solely by Master John Townsend or his authorized instructors to current students. For information, please contact us.

Permission is herewith granted for brief quotations, appearing with attribution, in reviews or scholarly journals, and a courtesy copy of such appearance sent to our offices at the address above will be greatly appreciated. Permission is further granted to any practicing shindoka of the Tao-Zen Ryu to print out one hard copy of site information for her or his personal use, and/or that of fellow shindoka, only.

Except in accordance with the provisions of the above paragraph, use by any person not a student of the martial arts of Tao-Zen Ryu Shindo at a school and/or under an instructor affiliated with and duly licensed by the World Tao-Zen Ryu Shindo Association, is not authorized.* Some aspects of this website are restricted to practicing shindoka only, and are not available to the general public.

In accordance with dojang rules #3 and #4, and with articles #1 and #2 of the enrollment agreement signed by all beginning shindoka, no copies of this website are to be lent, sold, given, or otherwise distributed to, or allowed for any preventable reason to fall into the hands of, anyone not a student of the Tao-Zen Ryu.

* In light of the distinction that threats are for wimps, but fair warnings a hallmark of the courtesy of budoka; be it noted that any unauthorized duplication, distribution, or other use of these materials without permission of the author and copyright holder is a violation of international copyright law, and, if it comes to our attention, might well entail distressing legal unpleasantness.1

1 Far worse, for any true warrior, is that unauthorized use of these materials is dishonorable.
