Cho Kyo Sa Kai Bublitz & Cho Kyo Sa Deja Hanson's Wedding

The Wedding

Our wedding is going to be featured in
January 2006
's issue of Seattle Bride Magazine!

The article is about Asian wedding ceremonies.
We are, apparently, the only local Japanese wedding the journalist could find!

Shinto Shrine at the Point Defiance Pagoda

This beautiful little shrine in the center of the pond was directly behind the altar where Kai & Deja were married.

The Happy Couple

In keeping with the Asian traditions both bride and groom deeply respect, the wedding was of Japanese Shinto origin, with the couple in traditional kimono garb. This photo was taken two weeks before the wedding, in the Japanese Garden at the UW Arboretum in Seattle.

Wedding Party (almost everyone)

Sabum Nim officiated the ceremony, which seemed appropriate, as his school was how Deja & Kai first met. With a whopping 7 groomsmen, 5 bridesmaids, 2 maids and 1 matron of honor (not to mention the best man), it was really quite the procession to the altar!

You may now kiss the bride . . .

Ah yes . . . some would say this is the best part . . .

More pictures will probably be forthcoming . . . eventually . . .
