Summer Camp 2003

View from a campsite Sunset Friday Night
This year was wet & wild! Camping on the Washington Coast at the Kalaloch Campground in the Olympic Rainforest was beautiful., but very rainy.
Mrs. & Mr. Kyo Sa Nim . . .

It was a loooooooooooong drive . . .

Several Shindoka built us a ring of standing logs to gather inside of for socializing and the test . . .

Shindohenge
Some of us quickly made ourselves at home . . .
Max's Caddy
Taj Ma Tent
Others decided the fire was the place to be, despite the rain . . .
The Entrance to Shindohenge
These trees were HUGE!
Gathering around the fire
Watching the tide come in
Making s'mores
Talking long into the night . . .
The logs themselves were very interesting to look at . . .
Balancing Act
Camel Head
Lined up into the Water
Brian Johnson and a HUGE log
More Balancing Acts
Another line into the Sea
Brian instructs kohai in Log Erection
One wonders how long it took to build Shindohenge!
This log is decorated with rocks on the top
Another balancing act
How many tries do you think it takes to make that log stay?
This log almost looks like a little person--there's feathers sticking out of its top
This one looks like an old man
Amazing what Shindoka will do for fun!
